There are varying levels of severity when it comes to bugs. For example, "This tooltip isn't showing part of talent" is not as critical as "This power with this costume T-Poses." Greetings everyone!
Some of you may have noticed the hero updates slow down slightly this week, and though that was partially due to bug fixes, we've also taken some time out to resolve a long-standing friction point with almost all heroes - Animation Lock.
Shipping with the next patch, we have vastly opened up our Animation Cancelling feature, and have allowed most cooldown and non-spammable powers to be animation cancelled shortly after their 'contact time', or 'the point at which the power deals damage'. Powers can never be cancelled before the contact time, so you don't have to worry about cancelling out of a power before it hits.

Hey all, we've received some red flags that the Freezing Tempest talent is causing some disconnects in rare cases - specifically, the damaging area attached to Storm. We are livetuning that off now.
You can still select the talent, and the passive bonus effects will apply, but the Freezing Tempest damage effect will not apply.

To help diagnose connection issues that may be causing lag, frequent disconnects, or the inability to log-in, use the following utilities in Windows and OS X.

Im Michael Mayhem, member of the design team on Marvel Heroes. Its my pleasure to discuss our newest feature: Dynamic Combat Scaling! This feature will be included with Marvel Heroes in the next update.
Overview
Simply put, Dynamic Combat Scaling adjusts the difficulty and rewards of the game to each player. If youre a level 30 hero fighting in a level 15 zone, you'll be exchanging damage as if the baddies were level 30 - and receive gear at that level! You'll still have all of your powers and gear of your current level, so you'll still feel much more effective than you were at level 15.

I'm looking for feedback on the Times Square Terminal. It's been several months since it was released, I know, but that means you probably have a definitive opinion on the experience. When it was first released, the comments were about 40% "It is too hard!" and 60%"I like the challenge!" There were other comments as well, of course.
There was an intended player experience (the interesting map, enemy types and mythology of Ultron helped define that experience), but what matters is your ACTUAL experience.

GAME CLIENT CRASHES / FREEZES
Error messages such as MarvelHeroes2016.exe has stopped working and MarvelHeroes2016.exe has stopped responding are generic error messages generated by Windows. These do not specify the cause and multiple people receiving the same generic error message does not mean they all have the same issue, or that the issue is with the client itself.
This guide will go over some of the common causes and fixes for MarvelHeroes2016.exe crashes.
Troubleshooting the crash report
You should immediately look at the generated information when any application crashes, by clicking on View problem details. The key line to look for is Fault Module Name.

If you are experiencing crashes beginning with "Couldn't find file for package" after the 2016 update, please try repairing your game files as well as trying the other troubleshooting steps found here:

Standalone: Open the launcher and go into Settings. Run the Repair Files tool and allow this to complete.

Static Decals
Removes decals from the environment (cracks, dirt, puddles, etc.)
Dynamic Shadows

Max Texture Filtering
Reduces blur and preserves detail on distant textures.
Dynamic Lights

Replaces Spirit.

First, thanks for the overwhelming amount of constructive feedback on Hulk! After careful consideration, we have decided to alter the release plan to account for it.
Going forward, Hulk will not be shipping in this week's release, and will instead be featured in early January. Thankfully, the Hulk TEST! avatar method we used will make for a smooth transition. We're using this extra time to implement some very exciting changes, in order to deliver Hulk's review in the best possible state.

In the gamma-irradiated future, there is only Anger
Anger is replacing Spirit as his primary resource. This is the core around which his mechanics will orbit.
Here's an overview of how it works:
Hulk gains Anger by hitting with any power and by being struck.
Anger is not spent by powers.
Powers are enhanced based on how Angry Hulk is.
Anger dissipates rapidly when out of combat (Hulk's in-combat timer is increased to align with this).
The result is that Hulk "revs up" as he fights, and also never runs out of gas.

Let's take Hulk's new Rubble Toss as an example of this new mechanic.

Just wanted to make a follow-up post to check if users are still experiencing a leak. Remember that the symptoms of a resource leak are specific; usually a slow degradation of performance over time which improves after restarting, rather than constant performance issues starting from launch.
If you believe you are still experiencing a leak, please perform the /debuglistobjects command in the Chat Window which will log the necessary information. You can then attach your Launch.log file which will contain the output into a ticket so we can gather this information.

 | DISCUSSION-A Note on Older Trenchcoats
I would like to take this time to stress that the changes we will be making to the old trench coats to keep them from sticking to the legs is an update as opposed to 'broken'. These characters did not ship broken in regards to the coats. There where limitations in place when those characters where created that forced us to limit the coat's movement. It's just how we had to do it way back in the day. When we had the ability to remove that limitation we did so on all characters going forward.
We want to update the coats just as much as you but we have to prioritize these along with new content and bug fixes. Rest assured, I have a list of things to resolve and these are on it.

 | DISCUSSION-Tiny little change to Emma Frost's Diamond Form
We made Diamond Form sensitive to Emma Frost's Costumes. That is, when you switch to Diamond Form the diamond will only apply to Emma's Skin and Hair. The costume remains unchanged.
You will see the Diamond Form changes next week in the TC.
There are still some issues and clean-up that needs to be done so please be patient while those get resolved in the following patches.
Oh, and we updated Emma Frost MarvelNOW's coat.
